Central Texas Chapter

Education Committee Vision Statement:

The Central Texas Chapter of the 7×24 Exchange Education Committee exists to seek and find opportunities for Students by way of managing our Scholarship Program. The program consists of scholarship programs for continuing education, as well as a program that provides industry training for building operating engineers for Data Centers. We strive to award these scholarships in hopes to retain Students in the Data Technology Field.


How to Apply

The following is the process for collecting all scholarship materials:

- All requested documents must be E-MAILED To mail to: rwallace@rubicontechservices.com and cc: john.hicks@bureauveritas.com

- When submitting your application via email, please use the following subject line:

7x24 Exchange Central Texas Chapter – Scholarship Application

- If possible, please submit your application and supporting documents as one PDF file with your name on it. For example: Your.Name_2024ScholarshipApplication.pdf

- You will be automatically disqualified if all of the application components are not included.

- The application must be submitted no later than Friday, June 7,2024. Contact for Questions, mail to: rwallace@rubicontechservices.com

Requirements for Submission

Applicants MUST use this form to ensure that you are fulfilling the mandatory requirements needed to maximize the potential of becoming a 7x24 Exchange Central Texas Chapter Award recipient.

 PLEASE NOTE: All communications between 7x24 Exchange Central Texas Chapter and the applicant will be directly with the candidate only.

 Please provide a copy of your UNOFFICIAL transcript and FINAL report card (OFFICIAL transcript will be required after award).

 Acceptance Letter from your University (necessary for high school awards or transfer students seeking scholarships).

 Resume (work experience, leadership, activities, etc.)

 Essay

Must meet the above requirements to be eligible.

Value of Each Award: Up to $5,000, a total of up to $25,000 will be awarded between final candidates (Quality of application drives the amount awarded)

Use of Award: The scholarship may be used only for school-related tuition, room and board expenses for the academic year of 2023-2024. Funds will be distributed to your student via the scholarship fund

 Institution Bill from the Financial Aid/Cashier’s Office at the institution (should break down expenses to attend) (Award Winners only – this will be required prior to disbursements of funds)

Eligibility Criteria

 Any Spring 2024 graduating high school senior through graduate school student.

 Student must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and interested in a career in the data center industry. (Such as but not limited to; Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Cyber Security, Computer Science engineering, Civil Land Development, Construction Management, or related field.)

 Student must be registered as a full-time student (12 hours or more) in the Fall of 2024 to apply for this scholarship.

 A minimum of a 3.5 GPA, either high school or current college/university.

NOTE: The 7x24 Exchange Central Texas Chapter reserves the right to disqualify any application at its sole discretion. All decisions by the Scholarship Committee and/or the Board of Directors regarding the award of scholarships are final.

What to expect:

  • Applications are due no later than June 7,2024

     The scholarship selection committee will review all applications and select finalists for

    interviews by June 28, 2024

     Application finalists will be invited to participate in virtual interviews with the scholarship

    committee. Interviews will be conducted on July 5,2024 

     The selection committee will make the final award selections by July 26,2024. An

    announcement will be made by August 2, 2024 via a press release to all 7x24 Exchange

    Central Texas Chapter Members.

     Scholarship recipients will be invited to participate in a 7x24 Exchange Central Texas Chapter

    event on August 8th at 2pm.
